Dakshina Kannada District Tourism Development Committee has been given permission to start cruise restaurants at Sultan Battery and Old Port on the bank of River Phalguni.
Union government has released Rs 19.13 crore out of Rs 95.67 crore sanctioned under the ‘Swadesh Darshan’ scheme. This scheme aims at developing tourist facilities in tourist destinations located on the seashore in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi districts.
The central tourism ministry has given its nod for projects worth Rs 50 crore to develop facilities like connecting roads, seating facility, watch tower etc in important beaches in coastal Karnataka. Read More Here
