Interview with Mangalore's Viral Youtuber

Featuring on Mangaluru.in is a multi-talented, energetic, super gorgeous YouTuber – hailing from KAVOOR Mullakad, Mangalore, its none other than Ms. Shilpa Shetty-(Shilpi). She has been working for NMC health care as a VIP coordinator in UAE – Abudhabi.

You might have seen her in viral “Bolo Sunanda” Dubshmash, which has received about a Lac visitors on YouTube alone. Thank you for allowing us to feature you, it’s an honor. Let’s check out her interview with us.

Question 1. What drove your interests towards vlogging(YouTube) and how did you know that you had this in you?

As a child have always been the most active and a curious one. I never said NO to challenges, Even during my school- college days I use to participate in everything, it could be sports [ all field and tracks] or co-curricular activities like singing, dancing, dramas, allocations etc., but never got a chance to take any professional classes as I come from a lower middle-class family. Being a single parent my mother took up all the responsibilities alone. Hence I never demanded anything.

My family and friends have always been an immense support, though we had hard days I was fulfilled with all my needs.
My MAMA [uncle- mother’s brother] Late. Dayanand Shetty, he is the man behind my confidence, anything that you know about me today is because of him.
He sow the seed it in me. He ignited the hidden spark.

Interests towards vlogging(youtubing): Well, honestly my only intention was to make all my videos available at one place in sequence for my KUTUMBA[ I refer to the family on social networks] to see them all as in when they want to.

Question 2.Define your channel in two words.
Happiness Reloaded
My KUTUMBA often sends me messages saying whenever they are stressed out, sad they only do is watch my videos hence the name.

Question 3. Which video are you most proud of and why?
All of it, they all are my babies so no discrimination. I believe in being versatile hence I make sure every video of mine is made differently. I want to be Navarasa Abinethri.

Question 4.You do a lot of acting in your videos. Is television or film something you’d like to branch into?
Well, I have not yet planned for anything as of now but if ever the Almighty permits I surely will.

Question 5. What is the most exciting thing that’s happened to you since starting YouTube?
A lot of love, appreciations, and support from My KUTUMBA, the stars like Sir Bojaraj Vamanjur, Sir Sathish Bandale, and Sir Harish rai, etc have sent their beautiful wishes and appreciations which is also listed on my youtube channel.

Sir Laxmisha Ganjimata, sir Sunil Nelligudde, sir Shobha rajetc have wrote to me as well!

My videos were on BTV news, also Mr.Shashikara Paathoor- Suddi TV Reporter – Mudipu shared my video and wrote the appreciation on his wall.
From the time I started I.E 3months back till date, I have got wonderful feedbacks so Shilpi is all Happy.
Question 6. How do you feel that YouTube has changed since you started making videos? Has that change been good or bad in your opinion?

I always believed in spreading laughter and if the intention is pure the happiness flows unconditionally.
Earlier I was known to people who were in my surrounding. Now it’s beautiful to know that entire Tulunad know’s me.
So far it’s all good!

Question 7. What is more important to you: likes, subscribers, views, or comments?
Views preferably because as I mentioned earlier Moto to spread happiness so as many times viewed that many smiles I’ll earn.

Question 8. Are you ever nervous about posting new videos? Do you feel like you have a certain standard to uphold? Does that hinder or help you as a creator?
Am never nervous about posting a new video, am always excited instead.
My Kutumba always loved me on every video’s hence I get lucky always 

Nothing hinders me ever, as I always take things either as an inspiration or motivation
Every new video of mine teaches me several things.
Well standard, nothing in particular but I make sure that the clarity of the video is good, lengthy enough [ 1min-minimum, am still learning on edits.]

Question 9. What are your future plans and goals?
This is something mysterious to me; I never planned anything in my whole life. I just walk by the plans made by the almighty.
I love surprises so let’s say am waiting for my NEXT 😉

Question 10. How / why did you come up with “Bhojaraj Vamanjoor” dubsmash. How was your reaction when the video went viral.
Bhojaraj Vamanjoor is one of the finest actors our tulu/drama industry could ever have. I grew up watching him act. Wow! What a grace he has.
I just tried my version and posted it.
To my surprise it was a hit overnight.
I was awe struck while numerous DM’s poured in.
On receiving appreciations from Sir Bojaraj Vamanjur, Sir Sathish Bandale I flattered.

Question 11. What is your message for the people of Mangaluru.
Mokeda Tulunad: I would only like to say never judge your talent. You are indeed capable of creating wonders provided you believe in yourself.
Get inspired and do inspire.

Question 12. Other than tulu which other languages you use for video making.
My videos are in Kannada, Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam etc

Question 13. Any specific software or application to make professional cut videos.
