Dakshina Kannada district administration and tourism departarment is organising a River Festival as Part of Karavali Utsav 2018 at Kulur, Bangarakulur Padakodi, Sultan Bathery, on the coastal festival.
When is river festival?
The ‘River Festival’ program will be held on January 12th and 13th at Kulur, Bangarakulur Padakodi, Sultan Bathery, on the coastal festival of District and District Tourism Department.The main focus is on the eco-friendly tourism.
Events and fun activities River Festival
River Film Festival,Wind surfing, Water Sports,flea market, boat race River Cruises, Floating Food Stalls, Food Stores, and Exhibitions Stores will be held at Kulur Bangarakuluru Padakodi and Sultan Bathery.
A great opportunity for tourism development and innovative programs have been organized in the river for two days, focusing on the eco-friendly tourism development.
Ferries are set up to take part in the festival; Vehicle access is not allowed; You can reach the beach or on foot. Ferry will travel to Bangarakuluru Padakodi, Tannirubavi, Sulthana Battery.
Safety at River Festival
The Deputy Commissioner said the rescue system would be done with the help of local fishermen and co-operation of veterans. The Deputy Commissioner also said that there is a mandatory plastic ban on festival venues.Temporary jetties will be built on the shores for the event.
